Civil Registration & Census

The Civil Registration & Census Sector of Paro Dzongkhag Administration ensures timely and accurate registration of vital events and personal records. It delivers services such as birth and death registration, CID/SRP processing, census updates, and household information management—both online and offline—in line with national guidelines and census protocols.

The Census Sector provides the following services:

Online:

  1. Birth Registration
  2. Death Registration
  3. Processing New Citizenship Identity Card (CID) and Special Residence Permit Card (SRP)
  4. Census Transfer
  5. Name Change and Correction of Date of Birth
  6. Processing Replacement/Lost CID/SRP cards
  7. Change /update of individual information
  8. Issuance of Nationality Certificate
  9. Change /update of spouse information
  10. Issuance of Household Information
  11. Change of Head of Household

 

Offline:

  1. Investigate and submit Census Drop out cases to the Department
  2. Investigate and Submit Double Census cases to the Department
  3. Collection and distribution of CID/SRP cards
  4. Conduct Annual Census
  5. Forward Naturalization cases to the Department of Immigration
