Doteng
Doteng Gewog was established in the year 2005. It lies in the Northern part of the Paro Dzongkhag. The gewog shares its boundary with Dopshari Gewog in the south, Lamgong gewog in the west, Tshento Gewog in the Northwest and Hungrel Gewog in the east. The Gewog also shares boundary with Thimphu Dzongkhag in the northeast.
The Gewog consist of five Chiwogs (Jabji_Loogchhoed, Atsho_Phunoob, Chhubar, Phooshar and Joogar_Pacchu). The gewog has a total of 264 household and of which 99 % are provided with clean drinking water and 100% electricity connection. The total of 25.84 km farm road is constructed connecting all the chiwogs. The gewog provides all agriculture supports through RNR-EC. Health and medical facilities are provided by way of outreach clinic (ORC).
The geographical area of Doteng gewog is 193.1 sq. km of which 24640 acres are covered by forest. An altitude ranges from 2350 meters to 3550 meters above the sea level. The major portion of land falls under wetland and apple orchard.
