Coinciding with His Majesty the Fourth King’s Birth Anniversary, the annual five day Genpoi Wangchen Drupchen commenced today at the Druk Choeding Lhakhang, Tshongdue, Paro.
Rinpung Rabdey, Armed Forces, Local Government Officials, Regional Heads, Thromde and the Dzongkhag Administration gathered at the Druk Choeding Lhakhang in the morning hours to offer prayers, butter lamps and Zhabten to the Fourth King. A cake cutting ceremony was also held at the Lhakhang.
The five-day Genpoi Wangchen is being presided over by HE Trulku Trinley.
